Oakland’s Lethal Limits—the solo project of Bay Area veteran Jeff Corso—dropped their highly anticipated EP Elevate on March 13, 2026, via Composure Oakland on Bandcamp. This four-track blast of melodic punk/power pop arrives nearly four years after their self-titled debut full-length, sharpening the project’s instincts while staying true to the roughshod, hook-driven sound that first turned heads.
Corso, a Half Moon Bay-raised, Oakland-based punk lifer (with history in bands like Nightstick Justice, No Dice, Coffin Party, and Second Opinion), channels decades of East Bay underground life—basement shows, skate ramps, Gilman Street matinees, coastal fog, and cracked sidewalks. Elevate feels like a jolt from that era: loud, melodic, wired with nervous energy, and no filler. It blends punk crunch with power pop clarity, drawing from 90s influences like The Wipers, Hüsker Dü, Pixies, 50 Million, Superchunk, and Jawbreaker—without sounding like a revival. There’s Thin Lizzy-style guitar swagger, heavier grunge weight, and a thicker low end, but the choruses stay front and center, built to survive blown PAs and half-attentive rooms.

Key tracks include:
- Love Bleed (3:42) – Infectious hook that sticks hard.
- Trippin (3:11) – Fast, wired energy.
- Along The Way (3:32) – Melodic punch with lingering depth.
Recorded February–April 2025 by Corso at Vam Vam Studios in Oakland, mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden for clarity without losing grit. Corso handles guitars, bass, vocals, keys, tambourine, and more, with drums from Aesop Dekker (Hickey, Ludicra, Agalloch) adding precise weight. The result is immediate, human, and live-in-the-room feel—punk made by someone who’s lived it.
This release carries extra weight: Corso survived a serious brush with death, and Elevate moves with that urgency baked in—not as confession, but as fuel. Every note counts, rooted in the independent East Bay ethos where punk, skate culture, and power pop hooks always bled together.
