Just outside of St. Louis Missouri sits a 10,000 square foot Mansion worth $2 million dollars with some of the most stunning views of vast valleys but what’s even better about this place is the fact it was owned by early 2000s rap icon Nelly. Who put out songs you’ve probably heard your mama singing while cleaning the dishes like Hot in here, grillz, and 10 time platinum hit Country Grammar. Nelly bought this house in 2002 for right around $1.9 million dollars and had plans on renovating it and giving it to his sister. After a while when renovations started his sister unexpectedly passed away bringing the renovation to a hault. With Nelly being so big at the time this wasn’t his only property. With the devastating loss of his sister it kind of was just left unfinished for years until 2021 when the property was sold. Here’s where it gets interesting. So the year 2021 comes around and Nellys old mansion hit the market for only $600,000 dollars. The mansion was all over the news showing the crumbling house. But something else caught my eye while researching. Some blogs and news outlets were stating that an alleged cult bought the mansion for $500,000. Some of the articles state that a church had been buying up millions of dollars of property all around Missouri including several mega mansions. And I know what you’re thinking. Why does a church need so many mansions let alone one mansion? Well after doing more research it was stated that the multi million dollar homes were being used as retreats for the ministry. Kinda strange if you ask me. But none the less the mansion still sits completely abandoned as if no one has been back in years. So join and let’s see what’s left
