Where are you from? Where are you based now and do you travel for shoots?
I’m from Colorado Springs and currently based in Denver, Colorado, until I move to Grand Rapids, Michigan, later this year to be closer to my modeling work on the East Coast. I travel year-round as a freelance model to every state in the US. Just last month I went to 24 states!
Who or what inspired you to become a model?
I was inspired by the beauty and unique ideas that came with the modeling industry. Everything was beautiful everywhere I looked. I have always been an artist and when I first started modeling it was like having a blank canvas to create whoever I wanted to be on it.

How and when did you start modeling?
I started modeling when I was 15-years old because I got spotted at a local mall by a modeling school. Barbizon modeling and talent school and agency really helped me get my foot in the door with modeling. I learned basic makeup and hair tricks, how to walk on the runway, how to style my own outfits, anything I needed to know they taught me. I even walked in Los Angeles Fashion Week when I was signed with them! When I was no longer benefitting from the agency, I decided to go freelance, and, let me tell you, it was the best choice I ever made. I have my own small business and travel all across the country! When I left the agency I found local photographers and built my portfolio and walked in hundreds of runway shows across the country, got published and made a name for myself. I found myself falling more in love with modeling and was able to quit my job and become a full-time traveling model!
What type of modeling do you enjoy the most?
I really enjoy modeling creative out of the box ideas that involve complicated makeup and hours of set-up and planning. I became a certified makeup artist last year and it helped me to up my modeling game so much! I get to have so much more creative freedom in my shoots! I also love going to Hobby Lobby and creating shoot ideas on the weekends or whenever I have free time.

What do you look for when deciding to work with a photographer?
What I always look for in a photographer is that they are good at communicating. Communication is so important in this business, one wrong word and it can change a person’s career completely! Word of mouth is one of the best ways to spread good business and good business comes with good communication. I also always look for references or positive comments to ensure that I am picking a good photographer.
Which models or other artists currently inspire you?
I am inspired by my peers in the modeling community around me. I love scrolling through Pinterest as much as the next girl for an idea and the weekly trip to Hobby Lobby, but I truly love watching the models around me grow and create their own art for all of us in the industry to see and grow from!

What would be your dream shoot?
My dream shoot is with some of the wings from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. In the snow with strings of lights and flowers hanging in the trees. The soft white of the snow falling around me and under my feet in a white glitter bra and panties set with angelic makeup. So beautiful!
How important is social media in your success?
Social media is extremely important to my success! That’s where I meet most of the photographers I work with outside of Model Mayhem. I post every day on my website, Instagram, two Facebook pages, Only Fans, and add photos weekly to Model Mayhem. I find that if I don’t keep up with social media I don’t sell as much content or book as many jobs. Photographers want active models who are posting their photos and that’s what I always try and show.

What else do you like to do outside of modeling?
Outside of modeling, I have two amazing dogs, a 4-year-old lab/pitbull mix, Heidi, and a 5-month-old puppy, Lily. We actually found Lily abandoned on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere because someone had dumped her. But when we found her I instantly fell in love with her and we had to keep her! My husband and I are constantly taking them hiking, and as I said before, I love Hobby Lobby, but most of my time is spent modeling or working on modeling. I am always thinking up new ideas and concepts and love branching out in new shoots!
What’s the best career advice you can give to new models?
The best advice I could give a new model is to always remember that you are beautiful. That you are in control of your career and can make it into whatever you want! It’s a beautiful experience if you do things the right way and always trust your gut. The modeling industry is full of liars and dangerous people so its always best to double-check everyone you plan to work with. And always bring someone with you to shoots with new photographers or any industry member. But always remember to have fun and be yourself. Modeling is an incredible industry to be a part of, and if you work hard and try your best you will succeed!
