Tiwa Savage Ventures Into Nollywood With Debut Film “Water and Garri” Set For Prime Video Release

Tiwa Savage, the celebrated Nigerian music sensation, is poised to take on her maiden acting role in Nollywood with a forthcoming feature titled “Water and Garri”. Produced by Everything Savage and Unbound Studios, this movie will mark Tiwa’s debut as an actress upon its release exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Meji Alabi and filmed primarily in Ghana, “Water and Garri” represents yet another valuable addition to Prime Video Nigeria’s expanding library of first-rate entertainment content from Nollywood. In it we meet Aisha – played for the very first time by Tiwa – a go-getting fashion designer who comes back home after 10 years abroad following the death of someone close. Meanwhile tensions are high at home where violence has surged amidst broader sociopolitical changes taking place across society more generally as depicted within this film’s narrative arc.
