Toronto Streets Magazine (TSM) is expanding the spotlight beyond the 6ix to celebrate rising Canadian talent making waves globally, and Montreal’s own Alicia Creti is delivering soul-stirring R&B with her latest visual.
Alicia Creti Drops “To Myself” Official Music Video – Final Track & Centerpiece from MINDFIELDS EP
Montreal-raised, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Alicia Creti premiered the official music video for “To Myself” on March 6, 2026, via her YouTube channel. The track, the closing and standout single from her new EP MINDFIELDS (released March 6, 2026, via Atlantic Records), has been gaining traction with its powerful vocal runs and themes of self-acceptance, boundaries, and learning to prioritize personal love after pouring too much into others.
Directed by Fabrice Rosier, with executive producer Aiken Quach, DP Calvin Liu, and production designer Alexandra Ouchev, the visual captures an intimate, artistic vibe—Creti has shared that filming this one (involving painting and drawing elements) was her favorite yet, tying into her early creative roots before music took center stage.
“To Myself” is a bombastic, soul-infused pop-R&B anthem about resisting tempting but unhealthy romance, embracing vulnerability, and finally keeping love for yourself. Lyrics like “Over and over, you get closer on the sofa time and time again / I been up three days praying one of us would come around” build to soaring runs where Creti lets her powerhouse vocals go wild, turning pain into empowerment. It’s the perfect cap to MINDFIELDS, an 8-track EP exploring self-reflection, heartbreak, mental health, and growth—following her debut Self/Less (which chronicled giving too much in relationships) with a more confident, boundary-setting evolution.
Creti (born in Montreal suburbs) started singing at age 3, writing songs young, and playing piano, but pursued a Finance degree at Concordia University until the pandemic and TikTok virality shifted everything. Covers like Beyoncé’s “Cuff It” (nearly 2M views) and originals like “Congratulations” (a showstopper about post-toxic recovery) exploded online, leading to a move to LA, signing with Atlantic Records, and a string of soulful releases. She’s drawn comparisons to Rihanna, Beyoncé, Amy Winehouse, and Toronto icons like Drake/The Weeknd for her dynamic delivery—elegant with edge, strong yet sensitive.
