As Davido puts finishing touches on what he calls his “most personal and experimental album yet,” he playfully—but firmly—pushes back on Darryl Vega’s wild claims about how involved he really was.
“I don’t know why Darryl thinks he produced half this album,” Davido laughs in one segment, clearly amused. “He came to the studio with snacks, not beats.”
From surprise guest features to last-minute lyric switches, the making of 5IVE is equal parts brilliance and beautiful chaos. The behind-the-scenes footage showcases Davido’s relentless work ethic, love for collaboration, and undeniable charisma—paired with Darryl’s eccentric humor and, as Davido says, “just enough drama to be dangerous.”
