Houdini is a Canadian rapper from Toronto, Ontario. He first gained recognition from his certified gold single “Late Nights” which contained features from Burna Bandzin 2017. This was followed by singles “Myself” and “Backseat”.
Known for his frequent collaborations with fellow rappers Pressa, Robin Banks and NorthSideBenji, including the latter’s certified gold single “Levels” which featured Houdini, the rapper continued to gain notoriety. He released his debut mixtape ‘Hou I Am’ in 2019, followed up with his sophomore mixtape ‘Hou Woulda Thought’ in August of 2019.
His debut EP ‘underGROUND’ released in 2020 and would be his last during his lifetime as he was a victim of gun violence in May of 2020 at the age of 21. Houdini’s friends, collaborators and estate keep his legacy alive with posthumous releases and the promise of a tape that Hou had announced just prior to passing coming in 2022.
