We are using YouTube videos to change the distorted image of Africa that has been spread worldwide. Our mission is country by country, telling a different story than what the imperialists have glorified as greatness for too long. Until Africans tell their own history, our narrative will be skewed towards others’ interests and perspectives. Our current focus is on connecting with African descendants across the globe in what we refer to as the 6th Region – The African Diaspora. Through this initiative, we aim to bridge gaps between communities and bring awareness about Africa’s rich culture beyond just poverty-porn or safaris so commonly portrayed globally.
