NHL Game 4 Highlights | Kings vs. Oilers – April 27, 2025

Date:

In a dramatic finish to Game 4, Leon Draisaitl delivered his first career playoff overtime winner, lifting the Edmonton Oilers to a 4-3 comeback victory over the Los Angeles Kings and tying their first-round series 2-2. The game had all the makings of a playoff classic—momentum swings, tight checking, and high stakes—and Draisaitl’s clutch performance capped a thrilling night in Edmonton.

The Oilers found themselves trailing late in the third period, but a flurry of pressure resulted in the equalizer, setting the stage for overtime heroics. Draisaitl, who has been a postseason force throughout his career, added yet another memorable moment to his playoff resume, slipping the puck past Kings goaltender Cam Talbot just minutes into the extra frame.

Connor McDavid also made his presence felt, contributing two key assists, while Zach Hyman and Evan Bouchard each tallied goals in regulation. The Kings, despite the loss, showed plenty of resilience. Adrian Kempe scored twice and Anze Kopitar added a goal and assist, proving L.A. remains a serious threat in this tightly contested series.

This win was crucial for the Oilers, avoiding a 3-1 series deficit and regaining momentum as the teams prepare to head back to Los Angeles for Game 5. With Draisaitl and McDavid clicking, and the home crowd behind them, Edmonton is back in the fight.
