Oilers Dominate Game 4 to Take 3-1 Series Lead Over Stars | NHL Playoffs 2025

Date:

The Edmonton Oilers are now just one win away from advancing, after a commanding 5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars in Game 4 of their playoff series. In front of a fired-up home crowd, the Oilers delivered a performance that showcased their depth, discipline, and killer instinct.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins continued his red-hot playoff form, notching two key assists on the power play, helping Edmonton build momentum early. The Oilers’ special teams once again proved to be the difference-maker, capitalizing on Dallas’ penalties and keeping the pressure high.

Despite a late push from the Stars, Edmonton held firm. In the final minutes, Kasperi Kapanen and Adam Henrique each buried empty-net goals, sealing the win and pushing the Oilers to a 3-1 series lead.

The Stars showed flashes of potential but couldn’t consistently penetrate the Oilers’ defensive structure or solve Stuart Skinner, who made several clutch saves to keep his team ahead.

With the series heading back to Dallas for Game 5, all eyes are now on whether the Stars can mount a comeback — or if the Oilers will punch their ticket to the next round. If the Oilers continue playing this brand of confident, high-powered hockey, they could be serious contenders for the Stanley Cup.
