S/J, Seth Jude Richard, is a south Louisiana boy who now lives in Florida. Growing up in a French rich culture, his grandfather introduced him to Cajun French music and acoustic music at a very young age. By the time he was 9, Seth would pick up a guitar and start to dream big. At the young age of 12, he entered the world of punk rock and started on what would be a long journey of touring and many experiences. Starting his own band, Layden and the Lion, (Little Rocket Records) he would record with Aaron Gillespie of Underoath, who would also produce and play drums on the record, The Lucky Ones. He also played bass for Ten Foot Pole on the Escalating Quickly Tour a few years ago. After Covid, Seth decided to embark on a solo journey to release his upcoming debut album, “Black Magnolias”. With a hectic touring schedule and raising two boys, he sees no end in sight.

“Carry on the Name” Lyrics:

Once was a boy not much to his name
Got tired of the constant self blame
Took to the pills and the drink you cant lose
Washed it all back to dampen the pain
See says the boy I cant give you very much
Now go on and carry the name
Where will we be in a year
I said where will we be in a year
Always been read, listen to whats said
You`ll find out, all the hard ways
Believe in the lord and you`ll find your own way
You told me but I found it my way
Being to drunk to neal down and pray
A final verse left to convey
Here I am lord strike me down today
I fucked up in so many ways
I said where will we be in a year
All the struggle and strife, on my name
Blessed are those, who come across me
Believe in to much about what they think
Live inside my head Im going down time to sink
Living with me, this cant be fate
I understand if you just want, to run away
Once was a boy not much to his name
Got tired of the constant self blame
Took to the pills and the drink you cant lose
Washed it all back to dampen the pain

_ Where will we be in a year_
