Toronto — What a night for Blue Jays fans. The city witnessed history as the Toronto Blue Jays punched their ticket to the World Series for the first time since 1993, defeating their opponents in a dramatic Game 7 thriller that will be remembered forever.
Heading back home down 3–2 in the series, the Jays came out with heart, hunger, and hustle. Kevin Gausman set the tone early on the mound, keeping the team within striking distance as the pressure built through every inning.
Then came the 7th. Addison Barger and Isiah Kiner-Falefa both reached base, sparking life into the Rogers Centre crowd. A well-placed bunt from Andrés Giménez set the stage for playoff legend George Springer — and he didn’t disappoint. With one perfect swing, Springer crushed a go-ahead three-run homer, flipping a 3–1 deficit into a 4–3 Blue Jays lead.
From there, it was lights-out pitching. Chris Bassitt and Jeff Hoffman combined to lock down the final innings, sealing one of the most emotional and unforgettable wins in recent team history.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the face of the franchise, capped off an incredible series by earning ALCS MVP honors, solidifying his status as one of the brightest stars in baseball.
Toronto is celebrating. The drought is over. The Blue Jays are heading to the World Series.
