Growing up the son of a NBA player comes with a lot of perks, especially if your dad is SHAQ.

But Shareef O’Neal’s journey to the NBA has been anything but easy. In 2018 Shareef required open heart surgery. Post OP he lost 25 pounds. And when he was finally healthy, the team he committed to barely played him.

When Shareef declared for the 2022 NBA draft every single organization passed up on him Yes his numbers aren’t impressive Yes his last name has opened a lot of doors. But at 6’10 and 225 pounds Shareef has the potential to be special.
