Dr. Gupta’s practice came under scrutiny after several videos surfaced online showing him performing surgery while dancing to music and making inappropriate comments. The board received numerous complaints from patients and other healthcare professionals about his behavior.
In addition to losing his medical license in Ohio, Dr. Gupta may also face disciplinary action in other states where he is licensed. The board emphasized the importance of upholding ethical standards and maintaining patient trust in the medical profession.
Dr. Gupta has not publicly commented on the revocation of his license, but he has since deleted his TikTok account and removed all videos of patient surgeries from social media platforms.
