Toronto Rapper and Content Creator ‘6ix Bangers Only’ Fatally Shot in North York

Toronto’s hip-hop community is in mourning following the tragic death of local rapper and content creator 6ix Bangers Only, who was fatally shot in North York. The incident occurred late Monday evening in a residential area near Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West, where emergency responders found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite life-saving efforts by paramedics, the young artist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was confirmed by friends and followers on social media, where he had built a substantial platform highlighting rising talent in the city’s rap scene.

6ix Bangers Only was known for curating and promoting Toronto’s underground music with a strong presence on YouTube and Instagram. Many of his posts featured up-and-coming artists, cyphers, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the city’s gritty music landscape.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and Toronto Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information or video surveillance to come forward. The incident has sparked renewed conversations about gun violence and safety for young creatives in the city.

In the hours following his death, tributes poured in from artists, fans, and fellow content creators. “He gave a voice to the streets,” one follower wrote. “Toronto lost a real one.”

Police have not yet released any suspect descriptions or made arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
