Where are you from? Where are you based now and do you travel for shoots?
I’m from Lafayette, Louisiana. I am still Louisiana-based and I do travel to book the majority of my work.
Who or what inspired you to become a model?
My greatest inspiration to be a model was probably looking at my mom’s Victoria’s Secret catalogs and thinking to myself, I want to be Tyra Banks! I also wanted to be in movies like Halle Berry! She’s my favorite actress!
How and when did you start modeling?
I started modeling at the age of seven. My dad got me into my first modeling classes and I learned basic things, like simple posing, runway walks, and etiquette.
What type of modeling do you enjoy the most?
My favorite shoots are outdoor nudes because it’s liberating and exciting. I live for shoots where nature is involved and feel that it makes for some of the most beautiful images.
What do you look for when deciding to work with a photographer?
I typically look to see if they’ve worked with someone I know or with people where I can verify that they are safe to work with. I also look for consistent communication.
Which models or other artists currently inspire you?
I’m always motivated and inspired by my two friends, Bella Burke and Tilly McReese. They give me good advice when I need it and they always produce great images that push me to want to keep my game tight!
What would be your dream shoot?
My dream shoot is probably anything involving an exotic animal. I love animals, and I’ve always wanted to shoot with a snake or a tiger.
How important is social media in your success?
Social media is very important in my success because it’s the wave of the future. My social media helps direct people to my Model Mayhem and helps to display my body of work and showcase the skillset I’m selling.
What else do you like to do outside of modeling?
I love traveling and sightseeing.
What’s the best career advice you can give to new models?
My best advice to new models would be to always be teachable. Too many times I see models who think they know everything and the thing is that this game is always changing, sometimes from day to day. It’s never the same, so always be open to learning from everyone that you come across, especially other models. Different models come from different markets and you can always ask models to help get you leads on work in markets that you’re not familiar with, or you find a hard time booking work in.
