On August 10, 2024, 24-year-old Instagram model Maecee Marie Lathers sped through a red light in downtown Miami, driving nearly 80 mph in a 30 zone. Her Mercedes-Benz slammed into two vehicles, killing Abraham Ismael and Jesus Rubio, and injuring others — including Ismael’s fiancée.
Police say Lathers was under the influence of “pink cocaine” (tusi) and was driving with a suspended license. Bodycam footage shows her trying to walk away from the scene, dazed, screaming, and making bizarre claims about being “from the future.”
She now faces multiple felony charges including DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide.
